Maybe the worst coffee I've ever tasted

These beans were labeled as medium-to-dark roast, and what I received were some of the darkest, oiliest beans I’ve ever encountered. Anyone familiar with specialty coffee would have a hard time calling these a medium roast. I reached out thinking this was either a bad batch or a roasting issue, but instead I was told that they roast “more traditionally,” that the beans met their standards, and that they wouldn’t refund the bag. Based on both the product and how my concern was handled, I came away questioning the level of coffee knowledge and training behind the operation. There’s a difference between having a preference for darker roasts and selling extremely dark, oily beans as medium-to-dark roast coffee. If you care about roast quality, accurate labeling, and knowledgeable coffee preparation, I’d look elsewhere.

This is our favorite coffee. We order from Georgia. We grind the beans here and use a basic drip coffee pot. It’s perfect every time.

Somehow, sipping a freshly brewed cowboy blend while watching spaghetti westerns makes me believe I could ride into the sunset, survive on beans, and settle a land dispute before breakfast. Five stars!

Smooth, balanced goodness in every sip

This coffee is delicious. It’s got a balanced flavor that’s not bitter or acidic, delicious chocolatey notes, and is so easy to drink. We loved it so much while we were visiting the area that we had to order a 5lb bag as soon as we got home. Pair it with a good coffee maker to really extract the full flavor.

The BEST coffee EVER!

I wasn't expecting to care this much about a bag of coffee, but the Cowboy Blend has genuinely become the best coffee I've ever had! I swear it somehow has more caffeine in it than other coffees. I've gotten my whole family and most of my friends drinking it too, and everyone agrees.

Organic Teton Blend

Friend of mine travelled to JH earlier this year and brought some home. We both prefer dark roast; I felt it was just the right flavor. Strong enough but not bitter. I have since ordered online 5lb packages and have been grinding away since. Certainly for the foreseeable future I will continue to order the Teton blend but might venture out some and try a different roast. Glad I was introduced to it.

Amazing taste

It’s so smooth and made the whole house smell good. Used huckleberry syrup and white chocolate to make a Huckleberry Mudpot! Delicious.
