We ship fresh-roasted coffee from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This page explains how shipping works, what it costs, when to expect your order, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Shipping
Where we ship
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii. We do not currently ship internationally or to U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. boxes. If you need a destination we don't list, email us — we'll do what we can.
Processing time
Orders are roasted, packed, and shipped from our Jackson Hole roastery within 1–3 business days of being placed. We roast to order whenever possible so the coffee arrives as fresh as it can be. Orders placed on weekends or holidays begin processing the next business day.
Shipping rates and methods
Every order ships from Jackson Hole, Wyoming via USPS. At checkout you'll see two options: USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Priority Mail.
Ground Advantage pricing depends on your order total:
- Orders under $75.Ground rate is based on your USPS shipping zone from Jackson, WY. Nearby zones (1–4) are $5.99; the rate scales up by zone — Zone 5 is $6.99, Zone 6 is $7.99, Zone 7 is $8.99, and the farthest zones (Alaska, Hawaii, and anything else) are $9.99. The exact rate is quoted at checkout once you enter your ZIP.
- Orders $75 to $119.99. Flat $4.99 Ground shipping to any destination.
- Orders $120 and above. Free Ground shipping, any destination.
Priority Mailis available on every order at live USPS rates, calculated from your destination, package weight, and dimensions. Choose Priority at checkout if you need faster delivery — typical transit is 1–3 business days anywhere in the U.S.
Coffee Club subscription members receive a flat $4.99 Ground shipping rate on every Club order as a membership perk, plus free Ground shipping on Club orders over $120. See Coffee Club for details.
Transit times
Once your order ships, typical transit times for the contiguous U.S. are 3–7 business days. Alaska and Hawaii typically take 5–10 business days. Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Weather, carrier delays, and high-volume periods (like holidays) can extend delivery.
Tracking
When your order ships, we will email you a tracking number. You can also view the status of recent orders from your account page.
Lost or stolen packages
Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, it is considered received. If your tracking shows “delivered” but you cannot find the package, please check with neighbors and your local post office first, then contact us within 7 days and we will help you file a claim with the carrier.
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, email us at office@cowboycoffee.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We will replace the item or issue a full refund, at your choice, with no return required.
Returns & Refunds
Coffee and food items
Because coffee is a consumable product that begins losing freshness the moment it is roasted, unopened, unused coffee may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price (shipping is non-refundable). Opened bags cannot be returned unless they are defective.
Merchandise
Unused merchandise in original condition (mugs, apparel, accessories) may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price. Items must be in the same condition you received them, with all tags attached where applicable.
Gift cards and final sale
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be returned. Items marked “final sale” at the time of purchase are also non-refundable except in the case of damage or defect.
How to start a return
Email office@cowboycoffee.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will reply with return instructions and a shipping address. Please do not ship items back until you hear from us — returns sent without prior authorization may not be processed.
Unless the return is due to our error (wrong or damaged item), you are responsible for return shipping costs.
Refund timing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 3–5 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Coffee Club cancellations
You can pause, skip, or cancel your Coffee Club subscription at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future shipments but does not refund orders that have already been placed and shipped. If a Coffee Club order arrives damaged or defective, the standard policy above applies.
